EID El Dorado County Water Hike; here's how to stop it!

 I am writting today to inform you of the enormous rate hike EID ( El Dorado Irrigation District ) has proposed to El Dorado County residents and what we can do to stop the increase. I have provided a link to http://www.stopeid.org/ where you can get a simple pre-written protest letter to mail in. 

EID is asking for an 80% increase in rates over the next few years on top of a 27.5% in April last year.According to a letter to the editor in the Mt. Democrat by a Judy Lowe we have to accept the 35% rate increase but if we act within 45 days of the announcement of the increase we can stop the others.  There is not much time left so act now, and notify all your friends in El Dorado County. Please pass this email along.

 According to Proposition 218 if 51% of residents negatively respond to this increase it will be stopped.

Write to EID ASAP,  in your letter you must include your parcel number found on your tax bill.
